The overview
I designed and built Pocket Leads to make local-business prospecting faster and more useful for agencies, freelancers and field sales teams. It combines several discovery routes with filters, opportunity signals and concise outreach briefs instead of forcing users to assemble the same evidence manually.
01
The problem
Finding promising local businesses often means repeating the same slow process across maps, websites and spreadsheets. The useful clues exist in public data, but they are fragmented and difficult to assess quickly—especially when prospecting from a phone.
02
The product
Pocket Leads provides multiple routes into the same task: location and category searches, opportunity-led views, business-name discovery and photo-to-business identification. Results can then be filtered using signals such as website presence, ratings, activity and category fit.
03
From data to a conversation
The platform turns a listing into a usable prospect brief rather than another row in a database. Contact details, public business signals and relevant talking points are brought together so the user can make a judgement and prepare outreach with context.
04
What it demonstrates
Pocket Leads shows how I work beyond recommendations: identify a repetitive commercial problem, design the information architecture and decision logic, build the product, and ship a coherent end-to-end experience.
The strategic takeaway
What this work demonstrates
Pocket Leads demonstrates the full path from identifying a repetitive commercial problem to designing, building and shipping the product that solves it.
