The overview
Technical SEO support across large-scale website migrations and CMS upgrades, including site architecture, redirects, page speed, structured data, staging QA and post-launch validation.
The best migration issue is the one found on staging, while there is still time to fix it.
01
The context
I provide embedded technical SEO support across Coherence digital-transformation projects involving website migrations, redesigns and CMS upgrades.
02
Baseline and risk review
Before launch, I review migration risk, site architecture, redirect logic and staging environments. The aim is to surface expensive problems while there is still time to resolve them.
03
Implementation guidance
Outputs include migration playbooks, redirect maps, structured-data templates, staging QA reports and joined-up sessions with developers, designers and content teams.
04
Launch and validation
Launch checklists and post-launch monitoring complete the loop, validating what shipped and identifying issues quickly across Umbraco, Drupal and custom CMS environments.
05
Making SEO part of delivery
The work translated search requirements into the artefacts delivery teams already use: redirect rules, template requirements, acceptance criteria, QA reports and launch checklists. That reduced ambiguity between strategy and engineering and made validation part of the release process rather than an audit performed after the damage was done.
The strategic takeaway
What this work demonstrates
My role was to make search risk visible early, turn it into practical requirements and stay close enough to delivery to verify the result.
