Turning experience into useful answers
I help organisations make sense of complicated search challenges, decide what matters and give their teams a practical way forward. My work connects technical SEO, content strategy, AI-search measurement and the systems that make a plan deliverable.
I began in commercial copywriting and moved into technical SEO and search leadership. As Head of SEO at MoreNiche, I managed a content pipeline involving writers and SEO consultants. At LinkedIn, my work spanned communities, creators and early AI-assisted content, including keyword research for collaborative articles. That combination taught me to look beyond individual pages and consider how content, technology and people work together.
Today, I work on questions such as how to establish a useful AI-visibility baseline, where a migration could put organic performance at risk, or why a large website is struggling to get its content discovered. I also build my own tools and publishing platforms, so my advice is informed by the practical work of designing, testing and shipping things.
What you can bring me in for
- AI search and GEO: understand the opportunity, establish a baseline, prioritise improvements and design a repeatable measurement approach.
- Migrations and CMS changes: identify search risks, plan requirements and validate the site before and after launch.
- Technical investigations: work through traffic drops, crawling, indexing, international targeting and site-architecture problems.
- Content strategy: translate keyword research and audience needs into a prioritised, usable publishing plan.
- Practical automation: design tools and workflows that reduce repetitive research, planning and content-production work.
A senior specialist, working alongside your team
I am available for focused consultancy projects, freelance and contract engagements, fractional support and ongoing strategic advice. The work can include discovery, workshops, hands-on investigation, implementation planning and helping your team build its own capability.
I have worked remotely since 2018, including with LinkedIn’s US team across UK and San Francisco working hours. All engagements, workshops and presentations are remote-only. You work directly with me, using a clear scope, shared evidence and a communication rhythm that fits your team.
Why I write
These articles share the methods and questions I use in practice. My aim is to help you understand the trade-offs, see what evidence is missing and make a better next decision. I distinguish experience from established guidance, link to sources where appropriate and avoid treating a changing search landscape as a collection of guaranteed shortcuts.
